Commission Us – Social Prescribing Service

Anxious Minds is a leading mental health organisation in North Tyneside, dedicated to providing support and assistance to individuals struggling with mental health issues. As the demand for mental health support continues to grow, Anxious Minds has decided to take the initiative and start its own Social Prescribing Service.

Social Prescribing is a way for healthcare professionals to refer patients to non-medical support services in the community. This can include services such as job search assistance, financial counselling, and community activities. Anxious Minds believes that providing a Social Prescribing Service will help improve the mental health and well-being of individuals in North Tyneside.

Anxious Minds is forming a partnership with local GPs, NHS Trusts, private Healthcare, and ICS to provide a Social Prescribing Service for their patients. By working with these organisations, Anxious Minds will be able to provide a wide range of indoor and outdoor support services to their patients.

This includes job search assistance, financial counselling, and community activities. Anxious Minds understands the unique challenges that individuals struggling with mental health issues face and is committed to providing the support and assistance they need to improve their mental health and well-being.

THANK YOU to the people of the North East

Anxious Minds is a non-profit organisation founded in 2015 with the goal of improving mental health and well-being in the North East. The organisation offers a wide range of services to the community, including counselling, therapy, support groups, and training programs. We are proud to be a leading provider of mental health services in the region and are constantly working to improve and expand our offerings.

One of the ways we are working to improve our services is by forming a partnership with local GP’s, NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, and ICS to provide a Social Prescribing Service for their patients. Social prescribing is a way for healthcare professionals to refer patients to non-medical support services in their community. These services can include things like exercise classes, gardening groups, and arts and crafts workshops. By providing patients with access to these types of services, healthcare professionals can help improve their mental health and well-being.

Anxious Minds has a wide range of indoor and outdoor support services that we can offer to patients referred to us through social prescribing. Our services include counselling, therapy, and support groups for a variety of mental health conditions. We also offer training programs to help individuals improve their employability and increase their chances of finding a job.

We are proud to be a leading provider of mental health services in the North East and are constantly working to improve and expand our offerings. If you or someone you know is in need of mental health support, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are here to help and are committed to providing the best possible support to those in need.

Thank you so much to all who helped make this possible this year. We couldn’t do it without the support of our community, volunteers, and partners. Together, we can continue to improve mental health and well-being in the North East.

Thank you so much to all who helped make this possible x

Our CEO is the Winner of the Inspirational Story award 2022

Anxious Minds is proud to announce that our CEO, Eddie Volunteer, has won the Inspirational Story award at the 2022 UK Mental Health Awards. This is a huge honour for Eddie, as well as for our organisation as a whole. The award recognises the incredible work that Eddie has done in raising awareness about mental health and providing support to those who need it most.

Eddie has been at the helm of Anxious Minds for several years now, and during that time, he has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those living with mental health conditions in North Tyneside and the surrounding areas. He has done this by providing a wide range of support services, including counselling, therapy, and support groups.

Eddie has also been instrumental in raising awareness about mental health and the importance of addressing it. He has spoken at various events, including conferences and workshops, and has been interviewed by local and national media outlets. Through these efforts, he has helped to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraged people to seek help when they need it.
