  • Counselling and Therapy: We provide fast access to counselling services to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. These sessions can be conducted face to face, online or by phone its £30 per session sometimes we do have funding please ask.
  • Support Groups: Support groups bring together individuals facing similar mental health issues. These groups provide a safe space for individuals to share their experiences, seek support and learn coping strategies from others who can relate to their challenges.
  • Crisis Intervention: We have the Drop-in and Recovery Centre for individuals who require immediate assistance during a mental health crisis. Our team can respond to emergencies in the community.
  • Peer Support: Our peer support programs involve individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges providing support, guidance and understanding to others who are going through similar experiences. Peer support can be a valuable component of community mental health services as it promotes empathy, connection and hope.
  • Education and Workshops: We offer educational programs and workshops to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma and provide individuals with tools and knowledge to manage their mental well-being. These programs may cover topics such as stress management, coping skills, self-care practices and early intervention strategies.
  • Referrals and Collaboration: We often collaborate with other healthcare providers and community organisations to ensure individuals receive comprehensive care.
  • Veteran & Community Kitchen: provides essential support to the local community by offering nutritious meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity. The kitchen fosters community connections aiming to empower residents with valuable skills. Additionally, it offers specialised support for vulnerable groups, including veterans, the elderly and low-income families, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
  • Outdoor Therapy: Outdoor therapy, also known as ecotherapy, involves engaging in therapeutic practices in natural environments to promote mental and emotional well-being. It combines outdoor activities like hiking, gardening or nature walks with counselling or mindfulness exercises. This approach helps reduce stress, improve mood, increase self-awareness and foster a stronger connection with nature. Outdoor therapy encourages physical activity, which can improve overall health while promoting relaxation and mental clarity.
  • Advice Services: offers numerous benefits, providing individuals with guidance and support in various areas of life, such as mental health, legal matters, financial issues or career decisions. These services help people make informed choices, reduce stress and improve their problem-solving skills. They can offer emotional support, boost confidence and connect individuals with the appropriate resources or professionals. Advice services can also help prevent more significant issues by addressing concerns early on and fostering a sense of empowerment and well-being.
  • Support Back to Work: Support back to work services are designed to help individuals transition smoothly from unemployment or a career break back into the workforce. These services offer a range of resources, including career counselling, job search assistance, interview preparation and skills development. We may also provide mental health support to overcome any anxiety or confidence issues related to re-entering the workforce.
  • Foodbank: Anxious Minds, in partnership with Wallsend Memorial Hall (MEM), operates a food bank every Thursday to support individuals and families facing food insecurity. This initiative is part of our broader commitment to assist those struggling with the rising cost of living, ensuring that anyone in need has access to essential food supplies in a welcoming environment.
