Everything about the place is welcoming, ‘safe’ and highly professional.
From Minnie (the therapy dog) to the charity founders, through the admin staff to the fantastic counsellors themselves.
My counsellor (Leanne) had the remarkable and unusual ability to instantly engender a feeling of trust, but at the same time, push back and challenge some of my more negative assumptions about myself and others.
Over a few months, she gave me ‘homework’ designed to manage feelings and situations in a different way. Everything she said and did was evidence – based. I experienced (life) success after success after each of these sessions.
Now, my life is so much improved, I have more energy, I am more relaxed, I find joy in simple things and can see ‘the big picture’ so much more clearly than before.
I have more work to do, but I can tell you honestly that I am more psychologically equipped to deal with and resolve those difficulties than I have ever been in my life.
And I am not a young person.
