Basic Safeguarding Adults | Understand what safeguarding means and the responsibilities you have for safeguarding adults at risk
· Understand why safeguarding adults training is important for everyone within your organisation · Have an awareness of which factors increase the likelihood of an adult being at risk from harm · Know about the different categories of abuse, plus the potential warning signs associated with each type · Understand how to respond appropriately to a disclosure from an adult in need and know what to do next · Have an awareness of the safeguarding process and know what happens after a referral is made | This Introduction to Safeguarding Adults training course will teach you about your responsibilities for safeguarding adults with care and support needs. You will learn about the relevant safeguarding legislation and the importance of safeguarding training for everyone that works with adults at risk. This training course will also teach you about the safeguarding process and how to respond to, report and record any concerns, as well as what happens after a referral is made and the common barriers that can prevent those involved from speaking out. Suicide Awareness for Managers | · Summarise an overview of mental health act, protected characteristics, and understanding the signs and symptoms of poor mental health · Highlight the manager / team leader role in supporting employee wellbeing · Provide guidance on having conversations about mental health · Using the right language and terminology · Suicide management and safety plans · Take part in a knowledge quiz in teams · Support managers / team leaders with further advice and resources | There are approximately 18 deaths by suicide across England and Wales every day, so this is something we all must know more about. Trauma Awareness | So, this training will cover some technical information and theory, including:
· The differences and meaning of both simple and complex trauma · The criteria for something to be in trauma · What determines the impact and effects of trauma on a person · The impact and effects of trauma on people · How trauma affects brain development · Why traumatised people adopt counter-productive behaviour · Understanding internal and external triggers · The early warning signs that someone is being triggered · The actions under the flight, fight and freeze responses, and · Steps to take when helping a triggered person | A course that explains in practical terms, what trauma is, how it affects brain development, how people behave because of it, and how to help someone who is triggered because of it right there in front of you! Stress Management | · What is stress – Understanding stress levels · Creating a stress free life – Positive routines · Relaxation and creating a safe space · Managing stress whilst facing a major life event. | This work shop is 3 hours and is specifically aimed at the individual and the stress we face on a daily basis. 1-Day First Aid for Mental Health | A range of subjects are covered including:
· What is First Aid for Mental Health? · Identifying mental health conditions · Providing advice and starting a conversation · Drugs and alcohol · First Aid for Mental Health action plan · First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace | This course is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected. | Dedicated Experienced Trainer 12 x Trainees

2-Day Supervising First Aid for Mental Health | A range of subjects are covered including:
· What is First Aid for Mental Health? · Identifying mental health conditions · Providing advice and starting a conversation · Drugs and alcohol · First Aid for Mental Health action plan · First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace | This course runs over 12 hours spread over at least 2 days. Ideally, the course should be run over two consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire. Please ask us for further details. The course is suitable for all persons within a workplace but is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial level position and who have responsibility for implementing a positive mental health culture and responsibility for First Aid for Mental Health within an organisation. | Dedicated Experienced Trainer 12 x Trainees |
Mindfulness | What is Mindfulness – plus what it isn’t & why it’s different to positive thinking? The role of mindfulness in the reduction of stress. Mindfulness meditation to speed up and enhance your mindfulness practice (and results). The role of mindfulness in personal Mental Health awareness & management.
