Community Mental Health Services

Our Award Winning Drop-in and Recovery Services, We have been offering a Safe Haven to the Community for the Past Six Years  

Anxious Minds offers Community mental health services aimed to support individuals in their local communities who are experiencing mental health challenges.

These services focus on providing accessible and holistic care to individuals of all ages, backgrounds and levels of need.

Support Available at Anxious Minds HOPE Drop-in and Recovery Centre:

Counselling and Therapy: Fast access to counselling delivered face to face, online, or by phone. Sessions are usually £30 each, although if you are on a low income or unemployed its £20.

Support Groups: Safe and supportive spaces where people can share experiences, build confidence, and learn coping strategies together.

Crisis Intervention: Immediate support through our Drop-in and Recovery Centre for people experiencing a mental health crisis.

Peer Support: Support from people with lived experience who offer understanding, encouragement, and hope.

Education and Workshops: Practical sessions that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and help people manage their mental wellbeing.

Referrals and Collaboration: We work with partner organisations and services to help people access the wider support they need.

Veteran & Community Kitchen: Providing nutritious meals, community connection, and practical support for veterans, older people, and local families.

Outdoor Therapy: Therapeutic outdoor activities that help reduce stress, improve mood, and support emotional wellbeing.

Advice Services: Guidance and support on a range of issues to help people make informed choices and improve their wellbeing.

Support Back to Work: Helping people rebuild confidence, develop skills, and move back towards employment.

Foodbank: In partnership with Wallsend Memorial Hall, we provide food support every Thursday for individuals and families facing hardship.
