The STAR Mindset Programme is a fun, inspiring and interactive workshop experience for children that helps them build confidence, resilience and self-belief by recognising the strengths they already have within themselves.
As part of the launch of STAR Mindset, we’re running a short pilot programme across four workshop dates, with limited spaces available, at the Metrocentre Community Hub, Green Mall, Gateshead. This gives local children the opportunity to be among the first to experience the programme.
Our workshops are delivered in two age groups, ensuring every child enjoys activities that are appropriate for their stage of development.

You Are That STAR!
In today’s world, children are often surrounded by messages that encourage them to compare themselves with others or seek approval through likes, praise or recognition.
At STAR Mindset, we believe every child already has everything they need to shine.
Our mission is to help children discover the STAR within themselves, recognise their own unique strengths and understand that confidence comes from believing in who they are, not from seeking external validation.
Through every activity, conversation and challenge, we encourage children to leave with one powerful belief:
“I am enough. I have my own strengths. I can shine by simply being me.”
What is STAR Mindset?
STAR Mindset is an engaging programme that blends creativity, teamwork, movement, imagination and reflection into fun-filled workshops where every child can participate in their own way.
There are no tests, no competitions and no pressure to be the best.
Instead, children are encouraged to explore new experiences, discover what they enjoy, celebrate their individuality and build confidence by recognising the qualities that already exist within them.
Whether your child loves creating, building, writing, solving problems or being active, every workshop has something designed to help them grow.
What Will Children Experience?
Throughout the workshop, children will take part in activities that encourage them to:
⭐ Build confidence and self-belief.
⭐ Recognise and celebrate their unique strengths.
⭐ Develop resilience and a positive mindset.
⭐ Work together and build new friendships.
⭐ Solve problems creatively.
⭐ Express themselves through art, storytelling and imagination.
⭐ Take on exciting challenges through movement and teamwork.
⭐ Discover how they enjoy learning and engaging with the world around them.
Every activity is designed around one simple belief:
Every child is a STAR. Sometimes they simply need the opportunity to discover it.
Why We Ask About Learning Styles
Every child enjoys taking part in activities differently.
Some children love making and creating.
Some enjoy thinking, reflecting and writing.
Others learn best through movement and active games.
By understanding how your child naturally enjoys engaging, we can create an experience where every child feels included, valued and able to shine.
Parent and Guardian Attendance
To ensure a safe, supportive and enjoyable environment, every child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the workshop.
Our supervision arrangements are simple:
One child must attend with one parent or guardian.
One parent or guardian may supervise a maximum of three children, provided the children already know each other and are connected to that adult (for example, siblings, relatives or friends).
The accompanying adult remains responsible for the children in their care throughout the workshop.
Children cannot be left unattended at any point during the session.

Every Child Has a STAR Within
We believe confidence is not something children are given.
It is something they discover.
When children recognise their own strengths, believe in themselves and understand that they do not need to compare themselves with others, they become more willing to try, learn, grow and flourish.
That is what STAR Mindset is all about.
Helping every child discover the STAR within themselves so they can continue to shine long after the workshop has finished.
We can’t wait to welcome your family to STAR Mindset. Register today and begin your child’s journey to discovering the STAR within.
