Durham Veteran Recovery College

Durham Veteran Recovery College

The Durham Veteran Recovery College mission reaches far beyond its walls. Its main aim is to work in partnership with organisations across County Durham to deliver life-changing support for veterans, reservists and their families.

Unlike our Wallsend Veteran Recovery College, which delivers a wide range of support directly from its centre, the Durham Veteran Recovery College will focus on building strong partnerships, strengthening local communities and creating a wider network of support across Durham and beyond.

This centre is about bringing people and organisations together. By working closely with local services, charities, community groups and Armed Forces organisations, we aim to make sure veterans, reservists and their families can access the right support, in the right place, at the right time.

The Durham Veteran Recovery College will help reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and create stronger links between those who need support and the organisations best placed to help them. It is about building trust, sharing knowledge and making sure no veteran, reservist or family member feels they have to face challenges alone.
