Supporting Survivors of Abuse Across the North East
At Anxious Minds, we offer life-changing support to individuals affected by various forms of abuse, including domestic violence, neglect, sexual abuse, rape, and sexual assault. Our mission is to create a safe, compassionate, and therapeutic environment where survivors can start to heal and reclaim their lives. By providing swift access to personalised, one-on-one therapy, we help individuals understand and recover from the trauma they have endured.
Our skilled and empathetic therapists are committed to addressing the unique needs of each survivor, equipping them with the tools and support necessary to navigate their journey to recovery. We offer tailored, person-centred interventions through a series of face-to-face sessions at our centres, where experienced therapists provide direct help. Survivors can seek assistance independently or be referred by professionals, such as healthcare providers, community organisations, or trusted friends and family.
Support Beyond Treatment
Anxious Minds, also run peer support groups facilitated by our therapists. These groups offer survivors a safe space to share their experiences, discuss coping strategies, and continue building resilience. We believe that through community and support, survivors can remain strong, motivated, and empowered to live lives free from crisis.
