Provides fast access in to Counselling Services. This vital support system in to Counselling and support for adults and children from across the North East . We have up to 30 Counsellors across two centres, all our counsellors are members of either the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) or the NCPS (National Counselling Society), ensuring professional and ethical standards. Our expert team of Clinical Supervisors further enhances the quality of our services. We offer specialised support for a diverse array of issues, including anxiety, depression, abuse, grief and loss, PTSD and more.
The Community Drop-in and Recovery Centre serves as peer-led education and support, fostering a dynamic environment where individuals can learn from each other’s expertise, insights, and lived experiences in mental health. The centre aims to cultivate a community of warriors and survivors, offering a space where people feel a deep sense of belonging and acceptance for who they are. By facilitating connections and friendships, the centre opens up avenues for individuals to aspire to be their best selves.

The Veterans and Community Kitchen and Foodbank dedicated to providing nourishing hot meals to anyone who needs one, supporting homeless and vulnerable people from across North Tyneside and Newcastle, we help fight hunger and loneliness for locals in need. They might be at risk of homelessness, unemployed, lonely or living in poverty. For people who experience these difficulties, we are here for you, a supportive environment for all. It is also a vital resource for veterans experiencing homelessness, food insecurity or struggling to adjust to civilian life. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The AFVBC is on Fridays from 10:30 – kids eat Free.
Our Advice services play a crucial role in guiding individuals through complex decisions and challenges. These services encompass a range of areas, including financial planning, career counselling, personal development and more. We provide this service for veterans and their families and are hoping to expand the service soon to all our service users. We are members of Advice UK.
New figures released by the Office for National Statistics show 328 deaths from suicide were registered in the North East in 2021 equivalent to one every 27 hours.It makes the North East the worst place in England for suicide deaths per population despite improvements in awareness, the increase in the suicide rate continues to grow. The many risk factors that lead to suicide, including debt, financial stress and housing instability, all of which are being exacerbated by the cost-of-living crisis. This endeavor receives financial backing through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with the North of Tyne Combined Authority, we understand the range of obstacles that individuals may be facing, including lack of motivation, low confidence, self-esteem, limited skills and qualifications, disability, health concerns or other barriers.
