Anxious Minds CEO is the Winner of the Inspirational Story Wellbeing award 2022
Anxious Minds is proud to announce that our CEO volunteer Eddie, has won the Inspirational Story Wellbeing award at the 2022 UK Mental Health Awards. This is a huge honour for Eddie, as well as for our charity as a whole. The award recognises the incredible work that Eddie has done in raising awareness about mental health and providing support to those who need it most.
Eddie has been at the helm of Anxious Minds for several years now, and during that time, he has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those living with mental health conditions in North Tyneside and the surrounding areas. He has done this by providing a wide range of support services, including counselling, therapy, and support groups.
Eddie has also been instrumental in raising awareness about mental health and the importance of addressing it. He has spoken at various events, including conferences and workshops, and has been interviewed by local and national media outlets. Through these efforts, he has helped to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraged people to seek help when they need it.
In addition to his work with Anxious Minds, Eddie is also a passionate advocate for veterans. He understands the unique challenges that veterans face and is committed to helping them find employment and succeed. He has formed a partnership with the Association of Service Drop-In Centres (ASDIC) to provide veterans with the support and assistance they need to find jobs in North Tyneside.
Eddie’s work has made a huge impact on the lives of many people in North Tyneside and the surrounding areas. He has helped to improve the mental health and well-being of countless individuals and has helped to make our community a better place for all. We are incredibly proud of him and his accomplishments, and we are honored to have him as our CEO.
We are also proud to announce that Anxious Minds will be starting our own Social Prescribing Service and will no longer be accepting referrals from other services that do not help fund the service we provide to the community. We will be forming a partnership with local GP’s, NHS Trusts, private Healthcare, and Integrated Care Systems (ICS) to provide a Social Prescribing Service for their patients into our fast-growing indoor and outdoor support services that we can offer to their patients. This will help us to provide more support to the community we serve and improve the mental health and well-being of even more people.
In conclusion, we are thrilled that Eddie has been recognised for his amazing work and we will continue to support him in his efforts
