Unfortunately, in this instance, Anxious Minds did not win the Award, but the judges wanted me to pass on to you how impressed they were by the support that Anxious Minds has offered during the pandemic and since, and as a result, Anxious Minds is Highly Commended.
Anxious Minds is a non-profit organisation that is committed to providing support and assistance to individuals suffering from mental health issues in the North East region of the UK. The charity was founded in 2015 with the goal of improving the mental health and well-being of people in the community. The team at Anxious Minds is made up of dedicated professionals who understand the unique challenges that individuals with mental health issues face and are committed to providing the necessary support and resources to help them overcome these challenges.
One of the ways that Anxious Minds has been able to make a significant impact in the community is through their Social Prescribing Service. This service is designed to provide support and resources to individuals who have been referred by local GP’s, NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers and Integrated Care Systems (ICS). The Social Prescribing Service is a way for these organisations to connect their patients with the wide range of indoor and outdoor support services that Anxious Minds offers.
The Social Prescribing Service has been particularly effective during the pandemic as it has helped individuals who were struggling with mental health issues to access the support they need while also reducing the burden on healthcare providers. In recognition of the impact that Anxious Minds has had on the community, the charity has been Highly Commended in the Inspirational Story category of the UK Mental Health Awards 2022.
Anxious Minds is honoured to receive this recognition and would like to thank all of the individuals and organisations who have helped to make this possible. The team at Anxious Minds is committed to continuing to provide support and assistance to the community and will continue to innovate and improve their services to better serve the needs of individuals with mental health issues.
